Ralph is a retired business executive with a background in Manufacturing Management, Manufacturing Engineering and Software Engineering. Early in his career, he focused on manufacturing engineering and capital projects, building a foundation in practical technical problem-solving and operational excellence, eventually leading a multi-site division of a Fortune 500 company. More recently, before retiring, Ralph worked in software engineering.  Ralph’s work experience sharpened his skills in strategic planning, cross-functional team management, process improvement, and delivering complex projects across multiple locations. He is grateful to bring these experiences to Friends for Health in Haiti, where strong operational discipline and thoughtful leadership help advance the organization’s mission effectively. Ralph is passionate about FHH because its four-pillar holistic approach makes a genuine and lasting difference in the lives of Haitians and their families. By addressing the healthcare, community development, livelihood and spiritual ministry needs together, FHH creates opportunities for Haitians to live healthier lives and build thriving communities. Ralph is always glad to connect with others who share an interest in this work and would welcome the chance to share more about FHH’s impact.

Nick ended a successful career in investment management in 2025, retiring from Legacy Private Trust Company, a firm he helped found in 2004. As an attorney and finance professional he joined FHH as its Treasurer in 2024. He has a long history of involvement in Christian Missions, serving his large non-denominational church as its missions chairman. In 1993 he visited northern Haiti where his brother-in-law served as a medical missionary. As such, Haiti has been an area of interest of his, which also includes supporting the work of FHH in the years prior to his joining the board. During retirement, he has focused on helping Christians dig deeper into areas of generosity, receiving training from GenerousGiving.org.

As a nurse for more than 26 years, Diana has dedicated her career to serving communities and advancing the health of vulnerable and underserved populations in Maryland, Haiti, and Ghana. Her work is grounded in cultural humility, community engagement, and a deep commitment to health equity. Diana’s personal mission is to promote positive health outcomes for populations who have historically experienced disparities in access to high-quality health care. This commitment is reflected in her research addressing cardiovascular risk reduction and hypertension management among immigrant and underserved populations in the United States and beyond.

Diana believes health care is a fundamental human right, not a privilege . She is committed to using her knowledge, skills, scholarship, and leadership for the greater good, partnering with communities, advancing culturally responsive approaches to care, and contributing to meaningful and sustainable improvements in health and well-being.

Rev. Sharyl Dixon is a Presbyterian Pastor who has served churches in California, Aberdeen, Scotland, Princeton, Brooklyn, Upper Bucks PA, and presently in the village of Kingston, NJ. Sharyl is passionate about hearing & learning people’s stories, while serving neighbors and making sure others know God’s love. She is a mentor, coach, consultant, active partner in Presbytery work, creative collaborator, builder of connections, workshop leader, retreat speaker, advocate, pastor, writer, board member, and enabler of the next generation of pastors. God has given Sharyl a heart for the world. Over the years, she has been engaged and active in supporting mission partners locally and abroad. Her love for God’s people has called her to visit and work alongside those in the US, Scotland, France, Mexico, Honduras, Costa Rica, Uganda, and Haiti. She loves the wideness of FHH’s mission and care. She believes what FHH does is active in its witness to following Jesus’ example and call.

Katherine desires to help improve lives by employing a transdisciplinary systems approach and human-centered design to tackle socio-environmental challenges globally. Currently she is a doctoral student at University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point pursuing an EdD in Educational Sustainability. Katherine is bi-cultural, a third culture kid (TCK), and has taught English to speakers of other languages for more than 20 years. Her experience spans many cultures and countries as well as the fields of education, sustainable peacebuilding, and environmental action. She is passionate about helping people who are vulnerable, impoverished, and marginalized attain well-being, especially those in sub-Saharan Africa. Systems thinking, capacity building, innovation, and collaborative action characterize her approach. She is particularly interested in the intersection of WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene), nutrition, and agroecology. In her local community, she is very involved in her church, environmental issues, and in fighting for equity through a citizens group called Tosa Together.

Bill is the owner of WJS Wealth Management, an advisory firm that has been helping individuals and families make thoughtful decisions with their money for more than 40 years. He first met Dr. Wolf in 1992, when he was referred to her to discuss financial planning. During that conversation, she shared her passion for opening a health care clinic in Haiti. After asking her, “What is driving a successful emergency room physician at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee to open a health care clinic in Haiti?”, Dr. Wolf replied, “because they need it.” Those words remained with Bill through the years as their paths crossed and Dr. Wolf shared the progress she had made with her vision in Haiti. Bill was inspired by her commitment and wanted to find a way to help support that vision. In 2009, he organized a client event centered around the FHH banquet. The event was a tremendous success, and since then, he has had the privilege of attending every banquet with clients and supporting the organization. In 2016, Dr. Wolf asked Bill to join the FHH board, and he has served as a member ever since. Over the years, Bill’s involvement with FHH gave him an opportunity to see firsthand the difference the organization is making. What began with a conversation in 1992 has grown into a relationship and a commitment that has lasted more than three decades. Bill intends to continue supporting FHH as a board member, through the banquet committee, and by doing his part as a spokesperson for this important mission.

Wayne has served on the board of FHH for about 10 years. He has a background in law and engineering. Throughout the years, Wayne has enjoyed seeing the continued growth of FHH. He is a member of Eastbrook Church in Milwaukee, WI.

Jeremy specializes in organizational transformation, working across early-stage startups and Fortune 500 companies to build scalable technology solutions. His professional focus centers on streamlining operations so teams can maximize their core mission and focus on high-value work – skills he brings to FHH to help build long-term operational sustainability and impact. Jeremy’s passion for FHH stems from a life-long personal connection, having watched his great aunt, Dr. Catherine Wolf, build the organization from the ground up.

Sydney is honored to serve on the Board of Friends for Health in Haiti. She grew up in a home where missions conferences were the highlight of the year, and her parents instilled in her a deep love for international missions and sharing the compassion of Christ. After meeting her husband, Jeremy, she began attending Friends for Health in Haiti events and was inspired by the ministry of his great-aunt, Dr. Wolf. With a shared heart for missions, Sydney was grateful for the opportunity to support the organization’s work by serving on the board. Professionally, Sydney works on the Customer Experience team at Clay, where she helps her team better serve its customers by designing thoughtful systems and experiences. She also serves at Church of the City as a community group leader and prayer counselor. Sydney is thankful to play a small part in the work God is doing through Friends for Health in Haiti.

Tom is a retired physician and worked with Dr. Wolf at St Joseph Hospital during the founding of Friends for Health in Haiti. He has served on the FHH board for many years and is delighted to be part of the amazing mission of FHH. The combination of Christian mission, quality medical care, community service, and utilizing local human resources leads him to be committed to FHH. He has attended Eastbrook Church for over 40 years and has been involved in several ministries there. Kinship Community Food Center has been a more recent addition to his interests. Tom is very comfortable with technology and is skilled at organization and systemization. His leadership roles have been primarily in the hospital setting, serving on Medical Executive Committees and as Chief of Staff. Currently he is fulfilled spending much of his time grandparenting!

Joan is excited to be part of the leadership of Friends for Health in Haiti. She received her BSN from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her MS from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She taught nursing at UWM for over 20 years, all while raising four children. She also fostered newborns awaiting adoption and hosted countless international students. Now retired after over 45 years of nursing practice, she is busy with six grandchildren. Her leadership roles include PTO presidencies at local schools and serving as a board member of Evangelical Child and Family Agency. In her downtime, she enjoys taking long walks by the lake with her dog, getting together with friends, and reading. She has attended Eastbrook Church for over 40 years and has been involved in multiple ministries there. Kinship Community Food Center has been a more recent addition to her interests. She has attended FHH events from the beginning and is excited to join her husband Tom on this board, being so impressed with FHH’s heart for underserved peoples.
