I want to let you all know that my mother, Virginia R. Wolf, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 6th.  As I shared before, she was recovering from a fall last month in which she fractured two of her cervical vertebrae.  She was making good progress with physical therapy and we had been hoping for a return to some degree of independence.  Unfortunately, this was not to be and she passed away quietly on Wednesda...

We are happy to report that Hurricane Irma passed north of Haiti yesterday and did not have a significant impact on us here in the Jérémie area.  We had quite a bit of rain during the night Thursday but no significant winds.  Our understanding is that there were high winds and heavy rains in Cap Haitien and other areas in the north of Haiti.  The extent of damage is not known to us at this time.

Cherlie and I spent a few weeks in April in the US, visiting with churches and family in the NY/NJ area and attending an annual fund-raising banquet and board meeting in Milwaukee.  We visited lots of people and churches, did multiple presentations and enjoyed the comforts of life in the US!  The banquet was very successful and we are grateful for the generosity of all who attended and contributed to our ministry in Haiti...
