HURRICANE IRMA UPDATE
We are happy to report that Hurricane Irma passed north of Haiti yesterday and did not have a significant impact on us here in the Jérémie area. We had quite a bit of rain during the night Thursday but no significant winds. Our understanding is that there were high winds and heavy rains in Cap Haitien and other areas in the north of Haiti. Hurricane Irma - Prayer Request
Hurricane Irma, a category 5 hurricane is currently headed towards Haiti and the Dominican Republic and is expected to pass over the northern portions of Haiti. The last major hurricane, Hurricane Matthew, devastated south western Haiti just last October, leaving hundreds of Haitians dead and tens of thousands homeless. We are asking all our friends and supporters to pray for the people of Haiti and the Dominican Republic as they prepare for the storm. We are in communication
