communities, and the goals and procedure for seed distribution was discussed
  • 16 out of 17 communities organized a Management Committee for management of the project and
presented a list of committee members and their responsibilities
  • These communities were each given money for purchase and distribution of the seeds to community
    members the committee chooses
  • One community’s leaders did not feel that they could adequately fulfill the requirements of the
donation and declined to accept the funds.  These funds were added to the Patient Poor Fund
  • Pending
  • The communities will present a list of seed recipients after distribution is completed
  • These recipients will be responsible for giving back 2X the amount of seeds at the time of harvest
  • The harvested seeds will be re-distributed within the community according to the decision of the
    Management Committee
  • This process will be repeated with each harvest

windows are in the process of being made and will be installed after the roof is on

  • Local workmen and masons were hired by the engineer, who provided on-site supervision
  • The work was felt to be well done and budget was adhered to as projected
  • Response to the repairs from local leaders and individuals has been very positive
  • The repairs have significantly improved our trip up and down to the clinic site, especially in rainy weather
