CAPITAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

Friends for Health in Haiti is presently raising funds to build permanent buildings on our clinic site in Gatineau, in order
to provide primary care and maternity services to approximately 25-30,000 people in our immediate service area.

Prior to construction of the buildings themselves, it is necessary to do the following:
  • Construct an entrance road leading from the main road onto the clinic site, to include construction  of a small
bridge over a creek which runs through the clinic property.

  • Construct a rock and cement wall along the edge of the property facing the main road, to include an iron
         security gate.

  • Put up barbed wire fencing along the boundaries of the clinic property.

  • Build a reservoir to store and treat piped water which is coming onto the property from a capped source
         further up the mountain.

  • Construct a permanent storage building for secure storage of construction supplies, and, in the future, for
         clinic supplies.

The buildings themselves will be constructed in two phases:

  • Phase 1  Outpatient clinic, including laboratory, radiology and pharmacy
Living quarters for full-time missionary staff

  • Phase 2: Maternity center with delivery rooms, inpatient beds and operating room
